Oh yes yes, BB turned 8mths weeks ago, full of energy he decided to break the record for not sleeping within 8hrs despite our endless effort and all types of hallucination tactics and endless lullabies.
Once I put him to bed from my arms after singing lullabies, he'd open up his eyes and spring out his arms and legs in the air, make a quick turn onto his belly and start dragging himself towards the box that was placed near his bed and tried to flip open the cover. Till now, he can not crawl but he drags and once in awhile lift his bum hum high but still can't lift his body with his arms.
Hoping he would be satisfied by this act and go back to sleep, he did otherwise. He started reaching for all things around him, scratched the images on his bolster 'A' then turn around and tried to get the image out of his bolster 'B'.
Tired of it, he then took out his pacifier from his left hand, put them on the right hand and then put it back into the mouth. Then, took out the pacifier again from the right hand, wave it in the air then passed it to the left hand before putting it back to mouth again. Well, so I thought he'd get tired of this repetition and go to sleep. After several repetitive pacifier rally attempts, he started to sprawl out his legs and baby talk, baby yell, baby sing out of tune.
I thought wrapping him up could put him back to sleep, its wrong. Since he turned 8mths, he will wriggle out of the cacoon blanket at the same time baby complain. I cant believe my BB is starting to be rebellious!! After several tries to calm him in order to "bulut" him, the best way was to turn on the TV. He kept himself quiet, bulut him up and quickly made him warm milk and fed him before he finely fell asleep.
Sleep deprived me, nevertheless, its an unforgettable episode as I discovered unexpected reactions and saw so many cute and funny expressions unravel. Time sure flies, the quiet goo goo ga ga has surely vanished. I'm now tackling a creature that is smarter than I thought. Still, I love my BB so much.
